Hell Can't Even Be This Hot

We spent the night in Myrtle Beach, SC. The ocean had the best breeze we felt all day. That was Bruce's first time at the Atlantic Ocean. Palm Trees & Harleys...not something either of us thought we would see together. Gotta love it.

We left around 9am and it was time to start headin towards home.  It was all good until about noon. The temp went up to 110 degrees along with about 20 more degrees coming off the bike itself. Well we would go about 50 minutes and have to stop, get water and cool off in the gas station for about 15-20 mins. This went on all day. We stopped for dinner around 4:30 and decided hell isn't as hot as this and we decided to go a few more miles and call it a day.

We are spending the night in Hendersonsville, NC. It's an air conditioned room! witha shower!  Whaaahooo.  Life is good!

Day 8 with a few holes.

We have been in Greensboro for 4 days now and have had 2 days of wonderful training and information. New services, free music dl from Conquer Entertainment, new and wonderful web portal up grades  http://www.shopwithbruce.com/ Docotors and the nutraMetrix, on and on and on. Our brains are mushy.

The excitement of the weekend is Scottie Pippen joins marketamerica. He is also endorsing ma's new's isotonix product. Prime Joint Support Formula by Isotonix   It was awesome. Market America also came out with Gene SNP DNA analysis. I am going to have this done tomorrow. You learn your risks based on your unique genetic code. It will help you make informed decsions regarding eating habits, lifestlye choices and exercise based on your genes. I will get lifestyle recommendations, personalized nutrition recommendations, Isotonix and other ma supplement recommendations. No more guess work.  I can't wait.
Motives Cosmetics came out with several new items too. Agelss Renewal Foundation, Pressed Bronzer, Detailing Brush, Eye Blender Brush, False Eyelashes, Brow Pencil, Cellular Lab came out with 2 kits, just to name a few things. http://www.pamzmakeup.com/ to check it all out.

The hotel we are staying at (Sheraton Four Seasons) is wonderful. It has several resturants and 2 pools and the most important.... plenty of bars. We have had late nights and early mornings. Ate, drank, partied with good friends. Which all add up to a wonderful vacation.

Day 4 of 17 Dragon Tail

Had breakfast at the "best pancake" place in North Carolina. Joey's Pancake House. I have had better blueberry pancakes in northern WI @ the Family Resturant, but Joey's hashbrown casserole was good.
Took off from Maggie Valley on our way up the Smokey Mountains to Deals Gap,NC. We had about a 60 mi. ride and it was winding roads all the way along the Tennesee River.
We were going to Deals Gap to ride the   Dragon. 11 miles of road with 318 turns. We got there just in time for the rain.  It poured for about 10 minutes, got the roads wet and down the mountain we went. So sad. No       Dragon this trip.
We followed the rain back down and caught up with it once too.
Spending the night in Black Mountain NC.
Tomorrow Greensboro, NC.

Day 3 of 17

Day 3 in the books. Had a awesome day of riding. No rain some clouds and lots of sun. Rode some awesome roads. Riding in the mountains is wonderful. We took some pictures. But to view it first hand is WOW. We rode through the Smokey mountains. And the Blue Ridge Mountains. We got almost to the top of the Blue Ridge Mountains. We pulled over at a overlook. Talking to some people they advised us not to go any futher up.5 miles further up its raining and fog. Couldn't see 5 feet in front of them. So needless to say we turned around and headed back down.
Of course the day wouldn't be complete without something stupid happening. I dumped my bike in a parking lot. Dumbass drove right into a curb. Stopped just short of the curb and slide into it. Broke the tip of off the brake lever. And scratched the saddle back latch. But hey everythiing else is fine. A little stiff and sore right now but ok. I went down looked behind me and sure as hell Pam dropped hers too. So here we are tonight in our hotel room laughing at what at what happened.  We are at a really nice place. In Maggie Valley NC. Johnathan Creek Inn and Villas. Well Pams turn to take over here. She needs to up load the pictures of the day.

Day 2 of 17

Woke up at 5am and it was raining. Sounded like a really good excuse to go back to bed, so I did. Woke up at 7am, done raining but still wet. Sounded like a really good excuse to go back to bed, so i did. Woke at 9am to the sun shine and Bruce coming back in the room after going to eat.

Packed up and headed out. K-Mart first on out list of thing to do. We needed  a Gazetter. So we headed there and then to Breakfast. We had breakfast with and old friend we hadn't seen in years. With our bellys full we hit the road. No destination just southeast.

We saw some of the most beautiful roads ever. I wish all of our riding friends and family could be here. I think Kentucky has moved up to the number one ride spot.
The sounds you hear in the video are cicata bugs. We heard them every time we stopped.  Did you know cicada are sometimes called "locusts". It prefers warm climates. It is able to makes really loud noise which is easily heard by human ears. This "noise" or "song' is how they attract mates. It is brown colored beetle usually found by large trees. I know I was hit in the head with one or two of them today. Felt like someone through a rock at me.
Ok, that is your lesson for today.  LOL

Had an afternoon snack with the Doctor. The original one. In a glass bottle at that! Also found some candy cigerettes but Bruce said I shouldn't buy them.  :(

If I were to ask you "what was your favorite part of the day" what would it be? Mine was "I drove through the clouds." It was the most awesome thing ever. We drove into the Cumberland mountains in TN and when we got to the top there were clouds. The temperature started out at about 96, when we got to the top it was about 75. It was the greatest thing all day. I drove through clouds!!!

We ended up in Pioneer, TN. Just out side of Knoxville. Up in the mountains. It's been a wonderful day, great roads, lots of curves and we wish all of our family and friends could be here.  Bruce died again tonight, but I think he was happy.

On Our Way

Day 1 of 17.... I can't believe we have 17 days of vacation ....
away from home. We are so lucky and so blessed.
We left Wind Lake @ 8am with every intention of not using any express ways. We will be in Greensboro, NC August 4-7 for marketamerica International Convention and want a slow interesting ride down there.

First stop.....Little Red School House for breakfast. If you are ever out on WI Hwy 45 just north of the Illinois border, The Little Red School House has great food. But they are only open until 1:45pm.

Bellys full and on our way again. Hwy 45 became quite a challenge. The red lights had it in for us. I think we stopped at 90% of them and every semi and delivery truck were out and heading south. And did I mention .... construction??? Yeah that too. The bikes getting hotter & hotter we realized that we need to get on the express way and cool things down.

So that is how we got to Louisville Kentucky and spend out first night.

We found a nice hotel. Wanted to go have a drink, but they had a DRESS CODE. Bruce needed a dress shirt & pants (they didn't like his jeans & harley shirt LOL). So we settled for diet coke & wings. Bruce died a very quick death and that's the end of day one.
